Viltimisest / Felting inspiration...

-->NB! The English text is below!
Taas kord vildine postitus.

Viltimiseks on vaja villa. Õigemini villaoori ja/või heiet. Kust saab?

Minul on väga kenad kogemused Pilvelammastega Saaremaalt.

*******

To make felt, you need to use materials. As appetizer some usual woolen batts are good enough and then you want some merino ans then some bamboo and then...

...you just need to spoil your "inner magpie" with some extra delicious goodies..
.

A while ago I couldn't resist and bought some gorgeous one-of-a-kind spinning batts made by Steph Gorin of Loop.
I admired her shop for a long time - the textures, shades and glitzes of these beauties are just amazing, she plays with fibers with extraordinary elegance and makes use of everything from yak down to bamboo, milk protein, recycled sari silk, and shredded money.

Oh, I am so happy with my “treasure” - the whole new "Universe" opened before my eyes. Thank you for inspiring me, dear Steph!

Specializing in one-of-a-kind spinning batts and handspun art yarn, Loop supplies knitters, spinners, weavers, and felters with fiber that truly inspires. Check out her amazing creation
